Obama's Pre-View

If you can't wait for the most important interview of the 2008 election—Barack Obama, tomorrow morning on The View—preview clips have been posted on abc.com. In the three snippets, he (very briefly) discusses Rev. Jeremiah Wright, how to handle campaign attacks, and his distant relation, Brad Pitt. Not much news for politics junkies—well, I didn't know about the Pitt thing—but anything to close that gender gap.

Warning: embedded ads are involved. And if you happen to see the one for light Philadelphia cream cheese—in which a woman wearing wings in Heaven praises the reduced-fat spread—a question: why does a dead person need to worry about her fat intake?

CMR:

THE VIEW shouldn't be expected to ask tough political questions of its guests. It's not that kind of show. I hope Brooklyn-Italian Joy Behar asks Sen. Obama about his pastor's anti-Italian slurs ("garlic noses"), but she probably won't. I saw a preview of this interview on yesterday's VIEW and all the ladies looked enthralled by their guest.

This appearance will be a plus for Obama at a time when his judgement is under scrutiny (in some of the media) for his long association with Rev. Wright.
