North Carolina GOP Pulls Controversial Ad (Or Maybe Not)
Per McCain's senior adviser, Charlie Black, who was just now reading through his BlackBerry. "The ad has been pulled," he said. "I don't think it ever ran, except on the web."
UPDATE: The North Carolina GOP says that Black's report is not true. “I don't know where that's coming from, but it's not the case,” says the committee spokesman. Black said he heard the news from a reliable person in the state party, and is trying to get clarification on the crossed messages. I am as well. Will update as soon as I can.
UPDATE TWO: Black's information was wrong. The sequence of events that led to the mistake is described here.
